Mediation Services
Mediation is a non-adversarial way of resolving disputes. The Mediator acts as a neutral third party and facilitates discussions between the parties in dispute enabling them to reach suitable and mutually acceptable settlements. Mediation can be used to resolve a variety of disputes in a very wide range of industry sectors including maritime, construction, property, insurance and many others which Lux Mediation has the knowledge and experience to assist with.
All Mediation cases require a hands-on and personal approach and it is important for the mediator to grasp the key issues of a case quickly. Our mediators have mediated hundreds of cases across the spectrum and boast a high success rate. Our mediators are able to mediate in the UK and elsewhere in the world. Lux Mediation takes the hard work out of appointing the right mediator and ensures that the whole process works smoothly from beginning to end.
Please see below the types of mediation we cover.
Maritime
Mediation is a highly effective way to resolve maritime and shipping disputes, without having to proceed with an expensive court or arbitration case. The mediation process presents the opportunity for all parties involved to agree the desired result for themselves, without requiring Courts, Judges and Arbitrators.
International Commercial
International commercial disputes can often be resolved through professional mediation. This enables all parties involved to avoid lengthy battles through litigation and expensive court costs. Mediation allows the parties involved to develop their own solution to the issues.
General Commercial
Mediation is a highly effective method of resolving commercial disputes. Where parties have been unable to resolve a disagreement between themselves, or even more so where court proceedings have commenced, mediation can bring those involved together towards a shared solution.
Civil Mediation
Mediation is a highly effective way of resolving civil disputes. Where parties have been unable to reach an agreement between themselves, or court proceedings have commenced, mediation can deliver a mutually beneficial solution.
Motorsport Mediation
Motorsport at all levels is becoming increasingly international: big business, big personalities and big budgets can, and not infrequently do, lead to big disputes. Aside from jurisdictional issues, there are high Court costs, delays and the risk of adverse publicity.
